The Aqua Ultraviolet Advantage 2000 Series is the smallest UV sterilizer in Aqua UV's pond lineup — designed for ornamental ponds and water gardens up to ~750 gallons (8 W) and ~1,500 gallons (15 W). The Advantage's compact 3/4" barbed port footprint drops into low-flow recirculating systems and statuary hookups without re-plumbing. Available in standard inline configurations or with the integrated hanger spout for quick install on the side of a pre-formed pond or hardscape feature.

Key Features

  • Compact 8 W / 15 W UV sterilization for small ornamental ponds and water gardens
  • 3/4" barb ports — drops into 1/2" or 3/4" pond plumbing
  • Hanger spout variants attach to pond edge / hardscape without inline plumbing
  • Same lamp + quartz sleeve service routine as Classic Series
  • Made in the USA — Aqua Ultraviolet has manufactured UV sterilizers in Temecula, California since 1992
  • Backed by Aqua Ultraviolet's full manufacturer warranty

Flow Rate (GPH) by Wattage

Wattage Max GPH (Clarification, ~30,000 µW/cm²) — green-water control Min GPH (Sterilization, ~90,000 µW/cm²) — parasite + bacteria kill
8 W (Advantage 2000) 642 GPH 214 GPH
15 W (Advantage 2000+) 700 GPH 233 GPH

Sizing rule: divide your filtered circulation rate (GPH) by the column you need. Pick a unit whose Max GPH ≥ your circulation rate to achieve clarification dose; pick a unit whose Min GPH ≥ your circulation rate to achieve full sterilization dose at that flow.

Frequently Asked Questions

Advantage 2000 vs 2000+ — what's the difference?

Advantage 2000 = 8 W. Advantage 2000+ = 15 W. The '+' designation indicates the higher-output variant. Same chassis, different lamp.

Hanger vs inline — which?

Hanger spout attaches to the side of a pre-formed pond or hardscape with no plumbing — water exits a built-in spout. Inline goes between pump and return, hidden in equipment housing.
