Cuddlin' Caroline - Sweet Caroline Lotus (Bare Root)

Nelumbo nucifera — medium lotus, shipped as a dormant lotus tuber.

We proudly introduce Cuddlin' Caroline which joins our Little Princess Series. The name is a little different from the lotuses named after the first four granddaughters because there is already a lotus registered as Princess Caroline. When it's time for bed our sweet baby Caroline draws you back for one last hug and kiss by looking at you with the sweetest expression on her face and saying, "Cuddle Caroline."

This brilliant red, single petal lotus, once known as Hybrid T20, produces many flowers and blooms throughout the summer. It is just as irresistible as its namesake!

As a medium lotus, this one settles at 6 to 18 inches of water over the crown once established — start a new tuber under 2 to 4 inches and raise the level as it pushes aerial leaves, with the growing tip left uncovered.
