Fire Red - Tiny Red Firepower Lotus (Bare Root)

Nelumbo nucifera — bowl lotus, shipped as a dormant lotus tuber.

This one is hot! Lots of Flowers. This sassy little red lotus will brighten up your day! Fire Red is a single-petal bowl lotus with really vibrant color. The ring of orange stamen is such a perfect complement for the bright red petals. It grows about 18" tall in a 5 gallon pot but would be fine in an even smaller container.

As a bowl lotus, this one settles at 2 to 12 inches of water over the crown once established — start a new tuber under 2 to 4 inches and raise the level as it pushes aerial leaves, with the growing tip left uncovered.
