Grand Master Lotus (Bare Root)

Nelumbo nucifera — bowl lotus, shipped as a dormant lotus tuber.

Very heavy bloomer. Loved all over the world for its diminutive size and over-achieving flowering habit! This little lotus just blooms and blooms and then blooms some more! The lovely peachy color is beautiful! The older flowers have a luminous pale gold color in the center.

As a bowl lotus, this one settles at 2 to 12 inches of water over the crown once established — start a new tuber under 2 to 4 inches and raise the level as it pushes aerial leaves, with the growing tip left uncovered.
