Heart Blood 16 Lotus (Bare Root)

Nelumbo nucifera — medium lotus, shipped as a dormant lotus tuber.

'Heart Blood 16' Rocks. Big full flowers on a medium height plant, and they are extremely dark and Red hot! We planted this one late in the growing season and did not expect many flowers. Well, we were mistaken about that! Look at the deep, dark red flowers with cheerful yellow centers!

As a medium lotus, this one settles at 6 to 18 inches of water over the crown once established — start a new tuber under 2 to 4 inches and raise the level as it pushes aerial leaves, with the growing tip left uncovered.
