Miyatora Koi Farm – Mixed Tosai Select
A 100+ Year Legacy of Excellence from Niigata, Japan
Breeder: Katsunori Miya & Takumi Miya | Location: Kawaguchi, Nagaoka, Niigata | Est: Over 100 years ago
The Miyatora name is one of the most storied in Japanese koi breeding. Founded over a century ago by Shichizo Miya, this farm helped shape the modern Nishikigoi world. Their most legendary contribution is the Sensuke Kohaku bloodline — the foundation of today's large, full-bodied Kohaku, prized for snow-white skin, thick bodies, and brilliant Hi patterns.
Now in the hands of third-generation breeder Katsunori and his son Takumi, the farm spans 40,000 m² with 40 mud ponds and over 100 parent koi.
Varieties may include: Gosanke, Shusui, Kujaku, Doitsu Showa/Shiro, and Chagoi.
- 100+ Year Legacy: One of the oldest continuously operating koi farms in all of Niigata Prefecture.
- Sensuke Bloodline: The gold standard for Kohaku genetics recognized worldwide by collectors.
- Award-Winning Quality: Multiple prizes at the All Japan Koi Show including the 75BU Sakura Prize.
- Extraordinary Variety: Miyatora breeds more varieties at an elite level than nearly any farm in Japan.

When you buy Miyatora, you're buying a piece of koi history — fish from bloodlines refined for over a century in the mountains where Nishikigoi were born.
