Nanjing Love 16 - Award Winner Lotus (Bare Root)

Nelumbo nucifera — dwarf lotus, shipped as a dormant lotus tuber.

Yu Hua Qing 16. Massive flower production. 'Nanjing Love 16' is a wonderful creamy white lotus with outside petals that are deeply marked in purple violet while the center petals have bright green tips. This slash of green almost looks like an artist painted a green stripe across the flower!

As a dwarf lotus, this one settles at 2 to 12 inches of water over the crown once established — start a new tuber under 2 to 4 inches and raise the level as it pushes aerial leaves, with the growing tip left uncovered.
