Pink Diamond - Bling, Bling Lotus (Bare Root)

Nelumbo nucifera — large pond lotus, shipped as a dormant lotus tuber.

New from Vietnam. Prepare to be astounded!! We welcomed this new 'gem' of a lotus to our nursery a couple of years ago and we love it! A very prolific bloomer, 'Pink Diamond' has very large, full-petaled cream-colored flowers with diamond-pointed petals that are a luscious pink. We imported this lotus from Vietnam and found it easy to grow and quick to flower. So many flowers!

As a large pond lotus, this one settles at 12 to 24 inches of water over the crown once established — start a new tuber under 2 to 4 inches and raise the level as it pushes aerial leaves, with the growing tip left uncovered.
