Pink Parfait Lotus (Bare Root)

Nelumbo nucifera — dwarf lotus, shipped as a dormant lotus tuber.

You will love this lotus. The first day flower is dark pink but the flower goes through a lovely color change each day; however, the color never completely fades to white--it is always pink. The flower is extremely large for a small lotus. The fully opened flower has broad light pink petals with darker pink on the edges. The receptacle in the center is bright lime green and the stamen are gold making this lotus quite distinct in appearance.

As a dwarf lotus, this one settles at 2 to 12 inches of water over the crown once established — start a new tuber under 2 to 4 inches and raise the level as it pushes aerial leaves, with the growing tip left uncovered.
