During summer, for optimal performance, place the Diffuser at the center of the deepest part of the pond. The rising bubbles will lift and aerate the water at the bottom, allowing oxygen to penetrate sediments and promote efficient waste decomposition. Additionally, this will prevent stagnant, deoxygenated layers from forming in the depths of the pond and facilitate circulation throughout the entire pond, provided that the Diffuser is appropriately sized.
During winter, the Diffuser is useful for maintaining an opening in the ice. However, it should not be placed in deep water. Instead, place the Diffuser in a weighted Ballast Bag in water no deeper than 16 inches at the perimeter of the pond, furthest from the deep end or deepest pocket. This will prevent the water from being super-cooled by the Diffuser's circulation, as the warmest water is typically found in the deepest part of the pond.
