Red Dragonfly 14 Lotus (Bare Root)

Nelumbo nucifera — medium lotus, shipped as a dormant lotus tuber.

Hongqingting 14. 'Red Dragonfly 14' is a brilliant red version of this species and will replace our older variety of ' Red Dragonfly'. The color is a hotter, deeper red and the receptacle is a brighter gold than the previous version. Difficult to grow so beware!

As a medium lotus, this one settles at 6 to 18 inches of water over the crown once established — start a new tuber under 2 to 4 inches and raise the level as it pushes aerial leaves, with the growing tip left uncovered.
