Spring in Nanjing Lotus (Bare Root)

Nelumbo nucifera — medium lotus, shipped as a dormant lotus tuber.

Sunshine kissed with a bit of green. This classically shaped flower brings an eager anticipation of a lovely spring and perfect summer of beauty. 'Spring in Nanjing' was hybridized by Yileen Water Gardens in Nanjing. It boasts the signature delicate yellow green color for which they are famous. Grown in our trials, this cultivar proved to be hardy and easy to grow as well as producing flowers all summer.

As a medium lotus, this one settles at 6 to 18 inches of water over the crown once established — start a new tuber under 2 to 4 inches and raise the level as it pushes aerial leaves, with the growing tip left uncovered.
