Ancient Capital New Beauty Lotus (Bare Root)

From the renowned Yileen Gardens in Nanjing, China, we are happy to grow and sell the bright red Ancient Capital series. Ancient Capital New Beauty is a brilliant red single with a lovely shape. It bloomed well for us at the nursery and has become a favorite. Hybridized by Master Ding Yuesheng, this lotus truly has rich color that does not fade.

As a large pond lotus, this one settles at 12 to 24 inches of water over the crown once established — start a new tuber under 2 to 4 inches and raise the level as it pushes aerial leaves, with the growing tip left uncovered.
