Beautiful Dancer Lotus (Bare Root)

Nelumbo nucifera — bowl lotus, shipped as a dormant lotus tuber.

Always one of the first lotus to bloom! The color of the first day flower of Beautiful Dancer will take your breath away! The opening flower is a vivid pink changing into extra light yellow with pink on the outer edges of the petals as it matures. Classic lotus shape. Lots of flowers!! We recommend a bowl at least 10" wide to encourage flower production.

As a bowl lotus, this one settles at 2 to 12 inches of water over the crown once established — start a new tuber under 2 to 4 inches and raise the level as it pushes aerial leaves, with the growing tip left uncovered.
