Clouds in Moling Lotus (Bare Root)

Nelumbo nucifera — medium lotus, shipped as a dormant lotus tuber.

We are always looking for new 'white' lotus varieties and Clouds in Moling is a great addition because of its medium size and heavy flower. The flowers are bowl-shaped and it blooms well, too. The emerald green center receptacle is ringed with heavy white stamen. The petals are tipped with pink and green on the young flower.

As a medium lotus, this one settles at 6 to 18 inches of water over the crown once established — start a new tuber under 2 to 4 inches and raise the level as it pushes aerial leaves, with the growing tip left uncovered.
