Double Rose Lotus (Bare Root)

Nelumbo nucifera — medium lotus, shipped as a dormant lotus tuber.

'Double Rose' is a medium-sized plant that produces sweet pink and white flowers. This particular flower type has withstood the test of time and remains popular around the world. This particular cultivar was given to us by Steve Stroupe, another lotus fanatic from here in Alabama.

As a medium lotus, this one settles at 6 to 18 inches of water over the crown once established — start a new tuber under 2 to 4 inches and raise the level as it pushes aerial leaves, with the growing tip left uncovered.
