Dripping Dew - Fresh as the Morning Lotus (Bare Root)

Nelumbo nucifera ‘Lu Hua Nong’ — dwarf lotus, shipped as a dormant lotus tuber.

'Dripping Dew' is as fresh and beautiful as the name makes it sound! A peach-shaped purple bud opens into a vibrant pink long-lasting flower! The flower averages 65 petals and is usually petaloid (not able to set seeds). It blooms often and the flower holds it shape well. The color softens each day but stays pink.

As a dwarf lotus, this one settles at 2 to 12 inches of water over the crown once established — start a new tuber under 2 to 4 inches and raise the level as it pushes aerial leaves, with the growing tip left uncovered.
