Drop Blood Lotus (Bare Root)

Nelumbo nucifera ‘Dixue’ — medium lotus, shipped as a dormant lotus tuber.

Deep dark red color that almost looks maroon at times make 'Drop Blood' an unusual and desirable lotus. The bud is so dark it looks black in bright light. This lotus blooms really well throughout the summer. Here at the nursery ' Drop Blood' stays on the lower end of the scale for a medium-sized lotus so it grows perfectly in a 16" diameter, 7" deep pot.
