Dumbreck Scottish Surname Mug – Family Emblem

Dumbreck is not a name you meet every day, and there is a real pleasure in seeing it set out properly — shield above, Scotland lettering, plain white ceramic doing the rest.

The name has the shape of a place rather than a person, which is true of a great many Scottish surnames. Families took the name of the ground they belonged to, and it travelled with them long after they left it behind.

The family emblem is printed on both sides of the 11-ounce mug, so the design never faces away. Choose a black, navy or red handle and interior. A thoughtful gift for a Dumbreck relative, or for the one in the family who keeps asking the older generation questions.
