Emslie Scottish Ancestry Mug – Family Shield

Emslie is a north-east name, and anyone from that part of Scotland will recognise it at once. On a mug it looks exactly as it should — unshowy and sure of itself.

The name is closely associated with Aberdeenshire, where it has been recorded in its various spellings for a long stretch of time. Names that stay concentrated in one region tend to keep their families connected, which is a gift when it comes to research.

The family shield and clear Scotland lettering are printed on both sides of the 11-ounce mug, so it reads from either angle. Choose a black, navy or red handle and interior. A well-judged gift for an Emslie relative or for someone with Aberdeenshire roots.
