Jinling Frost - Icing on the Cake Lotus (Bare Root)

Nelumbo nucifera ‘Jinling Fei Shuang’ — medium lotus, shipped as a dormant lotus tuber.

Just a hint of pink blush on the tips of the petals and ' Jinling Frost' is perfectly frosted. The full multi-petal flower is usually crowned with bright green petaloids but will produce seeds later in the season. The delicate dark pink stain on the tips of the rich creamy petals lightens as it moves down the petals producing stripes of beautiful color.

As a medium lotus, this one settles at 6 to 18 inches of water over the crown once established — start a new tuber under 2 to 4 inches and raise the level as it pushes aerial leaves, with the growing tip left uncovered.
