The 'Russian Red' is a deep rose pink with a yellow center, and the flowers are single and 8 to 12 across. They are free-flowering, and have a slight fragrance. The leaves are 20-24" across. This variety grows 4-5' tall and is best for medium to large ponds. Recommended for hardy zone 4 or higher, and for zones lower than 4, winter protection is required.
