Outstanding Talent Lotus (Bare Root)

Nelumbo nucifera ‘Jun Jie’ — large pond lotus, shipped as a dormant lotus tuber.

One of the most spectacular lotus we grow, 'Outstanding Talent' truly lives up to its name. Large, well-shaped flowers that are among the brightest in the garden make this lotus a favorite! Sometimes 'Outstanding Talent' will be less than 48" tall so it would technically be called a medium but most often it is a tall variety.

As a large pond lotus, this one settles at 12 to 24 inches of water over the crown once established — start a new tuber under 2 to 4 inches and raise the level as it pushes aerial leaves, with the growing tip left uncovered.
