Painted Clouds Lotus (Bare Root)

Nelumbo nucifera — medium lotus, shipped as a dormant lotus tuber.

Wu Cai Yun Xia. Sometimes you just run out of adjectives but ' Painted Clouds' is so much more than just another pretty pink lotus! Layer upon layer of pink stained petals almost look like a bridal bouquet waiting to be carried down the aisle. The flower is so lovely and has a sweet scent.

This lotus is also called Colorful Clouds but there are two lotus with the same translation so we changed the name slightly to avoid confusion.

As a medium lotus, this one settles at 6 to 18 inches of water over the crown once established — start a new tuber under 2 to 4 inches and raise the level as it pushes aerial leaves, with the growing tip left uncovered.
